Arka is not a copy of any one school. It is a new synthesis — read through two lenses, the worldly and the spiritual — standing on the shoulders of the teachers who carried this knowledge across centuries and oceans. They are named here, with gratitude.
अर्क · Arka is a Vedic name of the Sun — the inner light, the soul at the centre — and ara, a spoke: the twelve houses radiate from that centre like the spokes of a wheel. A school of GeetaPhysics.
Dr. Tejaswi Katravulapally
Dr. Tejaswi Katravulapally works at the confluence of Quantum Physics and the Indian Knowledge Systems — trying, in his own small way, to restore the unity between knowledge (jñāna) and lived wisdom. His research years were spent in atomic physics; his evenings, in the śāstras and on the Carnatic flute. Arka is where that work finally meets the sky.
He came to Jyotiṣa as a student — a disciple of Master E.K. (Sri Ekkirala Krishnamacharya) — and he still reads the chart as he was taught: the harmonious integration of spiritual realization with a responsible worldly life. That two-lensed reading is the whole spirit of this school.
Two lenses, three movements.
Arka reads every chart through two lenses — the worldly and the spiritual — and teaches it in three streams that meet in mastery. The method is called the Triveṇī.
